State Troopers on Teen Safety Driving

Teen Driving SafetyA group of troopers are reaching out to teens hoping to encourage them to avoid teen driving deaths. They were inspired by the deaths of a state trooper’s teenage stepdaughters and formed a group called Drive to Survive.

Burgess came back to Rockingham County on the 21st of June 2012 when his two stepdaughters met a tragic accident involving an impaired driver 30 days later. Burgess said it’s an accident that no other families should go through.

The group visits high schools to prevent the same tragedies from ever happening. The state troopers of Rockingham County are taking a proactive approach in dealing with the issue.
