First-grade Teacher Faces DUI and Drug-related Charges

Laura Santoro, 32 years old, was arrested last Sunday evening for possession of illegal drugs and driving under the influence.

According to report, Santoro was driving on US 19 near Nebraska Avenue when she was spotted swerving in and out of the lane. When the deputy pulled her over, her eyes were watery and bloodshot. The deputy also found a glass pipe with marijuana residue and other traces of illegal drugs.

Santoro was then arrested but was later released after posting an $800 bail.
