Local Elected Official Charged with DUI
Democrat Reuben Collins, vice president of the Charles County Board of Commissioners, was arrested last Thursday evening for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Charles County sheriff’s office, Collins was pulled over after he was spotted by a police officer driving erratically. He failed several field sobriety tests and also submitted himself to a breathalyzer test wherein his BAC level was found to be beyond the legal limit.
Collins was then arrested and charged with DUI. He was later released to a relative.
