Hernando Deputy Faces DUI Charge

Deputy Joseph Michael Tibor, 45 years old, was arrested last Sunday for allegedly driving under the influence.

According to report, Tibor was driving on State Road 50 west of Brooksville at around 9 p.m. when he got pulled over by patrol Cpl David Frye. The suspect was clocked speeding at 85 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Police said Tibor initially denied drinking alcohol but when the arresting officer told him that he smelled alcohol, he then admitted to having a few drinks.
