Linebacker Aldon Smith Faces DUI Charges

Last Wednesday, Embattled 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was charged with three felony counts of illegal possession of assault weapons and two counts of drunken driving misdemeanors.

If Smith gets convicted of the gun charges, he is likely to face a probation period of up to four years and four months in prison. According to report, authorities found some guns after the June 2012 part held at Smith’s residence in San Jose.

After getting indicted with the gun charges, Smith was arrested last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.
