Valley City Man Likely to Face DUI Charge

27-year old Anthony S. Smith was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence. If convicted, this is Smith’s fourth DUI conviction in the last seven years.

According to police report, an officer who was in the area spotted the driver made an illegal U-turn on Main Avenue. After the officer pulled the vehicle over, the driver sped off. The driver later pulled into a parking lot where he ran into a curb.

The suspect is likely to face charges on driving after suspension, fleeing in a motor vehicle and driving under the influence.
