DUI Checkpoint Yielded 20 Arrests

Last Friday night, Kansas City Police conducted a DUI checkpoint which lasted for a few hours.

The spot check was set up at 7712 Wornall Road. Of the 382 vehicles that were screened, 20 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence. In addition, four drivers were cited for driving with revoked or suspended license, three for hazardous moving violations and six for other traffic-related violations.

One motorist was also arrested for illegal possession of marijuana during the DUI checkpoint.
