Tax Assessor Faces DUI Charge

Tax assessor Donna Ralston was arrested last June 29 for driving under the influence.

According to police report, Ralston was pulled over by a Stonington police officer early morning of June 29 while traveling toward north on Greenmanville Avenue. Although she was taken into custody on a drunken driving charge, she was eventually released on a $600 nonsurety bond.

Ralston worked as a Norwich tax assessor since 2009. She is scheduled to appear on July 22 in New London Superior Court.
