63 DUI Arrests during July 4th Holiday

According to Connecticut sate police, 63 drivers were cited for driving under the influence during the 4th of July weekend holiday. In addition, 2,500 speeding tickets were also issued.

Trooper said more than 5,600 tickets were issued for illegally using cellphones while driving, tailgating and other traffic violations. Also, more than 500 drivers got tickets for failure to wear seat belts while on the road.

Statistics showed that the number of tickets issued were more than double of last year’s holiday weekend.
