County Deputy Faces DUI Charge

Deputy Kevin Gregory Watkins, 45 years old, was charged with DUI by a Georgia State Patrol trooper on June 6.The Georgia State Patrol said that he spotted Watkins travelling south at 81 mph on Ga. Highway around 10:30 p.m. on June 6. Police Officer Faces Possible DUI Charge

Sgt. Cory Slifko, who had been in the service for 13 years, was arrested Tuesday morning for suspected DUI.  According to the report, the South St. Paul officer was driving his personal vehicle when a 911 call was made about his driving.The 911 call even included a complaint about allegedly damaging road-side mailboxes. Four People Injured in a Reckless Driving Incident

A total of four individuals were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash about Tuesday evening.According to the sheriff’s department, deputies and emergency responders were immediately dispatched to Illinois 142 and Woodland Lane.Because of the injuries they suffered, all were taken to St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
