Man Charged for Reckless Driving After Trying to Pull Over Cop

Steve McClain is facing a charge for reckless driving after rolling up alongside a Detroit police officer and demanding where the officer’s seatbelt was. He did this with his home video camera on, and now he’s facing possible legal repercussions for his action.

The video that McClain himself has taken clearly shows that the police officer was peering out the patrol car’s window while the man who was handling the camera – who happened to be McClain – shouted to the officer to wear his seatbelt. McClain shouted, “You are required by law to wear your seatbelt. Put your damn seatbelt on!” and he also added, “Who the hell do you think you are?” as he tried to order the officer to pull over repeatedly.

McClain – who is a home improvement businessman – claims that in his spare time he does some patrolling for seatbelt compliance and then posts whatever videos he gets on You Tube. His set up includes three high definition cameras that are mounted in his van.
